9-11 graders of the secondary school No. 248 named after Nizami Narimanov in Binagadi district, Baku made a field trip to Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) on March 5.
ASOIU Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, Associate Professor Ata Babayev told pupils about the university’s history, alumni and activities in different periods. He thoroughly informed them about the rich heritage of the national leader Heydar Aliyev.
Pupils then visited the Museum of Mineralogy, laboratory of the Department of Electromechanics, monument to Mubariz Ibrahimov, “eazi START” Startup and Innovation Center.
At the end of the tour, ASOIU Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli held a meeting with the schoolchildren. The Rector gave comprehensive information on the faculties, laboratories and examination process at the university. He spoke about positive results achieved from root changes in education. Babanli also informed about building a new round-the-clock library, adding that all necessary conditions are provided to enable students to receive a high-quality education.
