On March 9 the delegation headed by the Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Professor Mustafa Babanli held a meeting with the management of the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery.

Expressing satisfaction with welcoming ASOIU delegation at the Oil Refinery, Director General Elman Ismayilov spoke about the cooperation ties with the university. Elman Ismayilov said around 200 students of ASOIU are undertaking a practical internship at the plant and expressed contentment with their preparedness. Ismayilov noted that the Oil Refinery needs specialized personnel, expressing his belief that thanks to the ties with ASOIU, the company will be provided with professional staff.

Thanking the management of the Oil Refinery for the warm welcome, ASOIU Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli informed the attendees about the university. Speaking about the reforms underway to raise the quality of training at the university, Rector Mustafa Babanli highlighted that in the past years there has been a significant progress in Bachelor’s, Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in terms of both quantity and quality. Rector Mustafa Babanli also gave information about the Azerbaijani-French University, “eazi START” Startup and Innovation Center, daily internship program, English-taught programs.

At the meeting, the sides emphasized the importance of cooperating for the training of staff at ASOIU in line with the qualifications of the Oil Refinery and agreed to develop the cooperation.
