On March 14 Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Professor Mustafa Babanli met with Ph.D. students and their dissertation supervisors.  

Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli noted that the purpose of the meeting is to discuss the current status and forthcoming plans in the Ph.D. degree. Rector Mustafa Babanli said ASOIU attaches great attention to the Ph.D. degree and informed the attendees about some statistical data.

Rector Babanli said he is planning to allocate grants for the projects of the Ph.D. students in order to increase the interest of Ph.D. students in science. He added that they will also be provided with opportunities to carry out their research abroad. Informing that a certain level of English will be required for the admission to Ph.D. in the future, Rector Babanli touched upon the selection of dissertation topics, improvement of the material and technical base of departments, accreditation of some programs.

In conclusion, Ph.D. students received answers to their questions.
