On March 19 the Azerbaijani-French University (UFAZ) under Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) celebrated the Novruz holiday. The event was attended by ASOIU Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli, ASOIU and UFAZ faculty members.

Opening the event, UFAZ Executive Director, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov said the Novruz holiday has been celebrated by our people for centuries. He congratulated the academic staff members and students of the university on this day.

ASOIU Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli congratulated everyone on this great holiday and conveyed his best wishes. Noting that Novruz is the most favorite holiday of the Azerbaijani people, Rector Babanli highlighted that this day is also actively celebrated by our compatriots living in different parts of the world.

UFAZ Secretary General Charlotte Payen said Novruz is a holiday that reflects customs and traditions of the Azerbaijani people. She congratulated everyone on the spring holiday and wished all the guests to be in good spirits.

The event was then followed by a non-official part.
