15 students and two staff members of ASOIU - Rauf Malikov and Narmin Hamidli visited four German universities within DAAD’s “Study Visit to Germany” program on March 11 and held meetings with their academic personnel and students.
The first meeting was held at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg in the city of Magdeburg. Here, the students became familiar with the university campus, visited the library and received information from Holm Altenbach, a professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, about existing educational opportunities.
The second meeting was at Clausthal University of Technology. ASOIU students joined the workshop attended by German and Russian universities and listened to the presentations of the head and student group of the German Section of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and students of Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas.
Then students visited the University of Siegen and took part in the seminar organized by the university.
The program continued in Zittau, where students visited the energy production laboratories of the University of Applied Sciences Zittau/Goerlitz on March 19 and followed the manufacturing process step by step.
After spending two weeks in Germany, the group returned to Azerbaijan on March 25 with good memories.
Notably, all costs of the trip were covered by DAAD based on the project of the International Cooperation Office.
