ASOIU and Inonu University, Turkey sign cooperation contract

On April 13 Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Professor Mustafa Babanli met with the Rector of Inonu University (Turkey), Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kizilay and the delegation he was accompanied by.

Providing the guests with comprehensive information on ASOIU’s history, international relations, training process, taught programs, as well as Startup school and Azerbaijani-French University (UFAZ), Rector, Professor Babanli stressed that ASOIU is the most rooted higher education institution in Azerbaijan which provides technically oriented education.

Rector, Professor Babanli said ASOIU has always been selected for the number of its international students, and even today it stays true to its traditions and is in the focus of attention of foreign students. He informed that over 450 foreign students are currently enrolled in the university. 

Highlighting that the university attaches great importance to international cooperation, Rector Babanli said he is interested in building and developing cooperation ties with especially Turkish higher education establishments and scientific organizations. 

Rector of Inonu University, Prof. Dr. Kizilay thanked Mustafa Babanli for the invitation. He informed the attendees about the university he leads, saying that more than 250 Azerbaijani students currently study at the university. Prof. Dr. Kizilay underlined that their primary goals are to expand the mutual exchange with ASOIU and to realize joint projects. He also touched upon the significance of the cooperation with ASOIU. 

Following the meeting, Professor Babanli and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kilizay made a speech in front of the Academic Board members. They highly appreciated the measures being taken to develop the joint cooperation and pointed at the significance of extending the activities in this area.

A video footage about Inonu University was shown at the event. In the end, the sides signed a cooperation contract, and the guests received a memorable gift.

Then guests made an introductory tour to ASOIU History Museum, laboratories and Startup school. They also visited UFAZ that operates under ASOIU, became acquainted with the training process and the material and technical base of the institution.
