Agreement reached to establish Association of Azerbaijani and Georgian universities

A meeting of rectors of Azerbaijani and Georgian universities was held in Baku on April 19. At the meeting held within the two-day Conference of the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP) titled “Globalization and New Dimensions in Higher Education” and attended by the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Mikheil Chkhenkeli and representatives of the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan, the sides held discussions on broadening cooperation between the universities of the two countries. The participants of the meeting reached an agreement to establish the Association of Azerbaijani and Georgian universities. The sides agreed on regularly holding the meetings of the Association in Azerbaijan and Georgia.
