On April 20 Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Mikheil Chkhenkeli, who came to Azerbaijan to attend the Conference of the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP) titled “Globalization and New Dimensions in Higher Education”, visited Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU).

Expressing satisfaction with seeing the guests at the university, ASOIU Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli informed the guest of the university and its international relations. The meeting hailed the successful cooperation of Azerbaijan and Georgia in education, just like in other areas. The sides also discussed existing ties between ASOIU and Georgian universities and future projects. Rector Babanli pointed at the importance of developing further the cooperation ties between the two countries in the field of education. 

Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Mikheil Chkhenkeli said it was a pleasure to be in Azerbaijan and underlined the significance of implementing a number of new projects in the field of education. Minister Chkhenkeli said the development of science and education will make a vital contribution to both sides and talked about the importance of reviewing the cooperation opportunities and creating a joint group for this purpose.  

The guests received memorable gifts at the end of the event. Then they visited ASOIU’s History Museum, Laser Center and became acquainted with CamTouch and Multivisor projects of the “eazi START” Startup and Innovation Center.
