On April 24 Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Professor Mustafa Babanli met with the delegation headed by Yevgen Sokol, Rector of the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” (Ukraine).

ASOIU Rector, Professor Babanli provided the guests with widespread information on ASOIU’s history, international relations, training process, IT Academy and Startup School. He spoke about the university’s partnership with foreign higher education institutions and jointly implemented projects. Mentioning the “eazi START” Startup and Innovation Center, which was created to support the innovative ideas of students along with high-quality teaching, Rector, Professor Babanli stressed that involving young people in startups and drafting projects in line with the requirements of the modern world are the priorities of the university.

Informing about the university he leads, Rector of the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” Yevgen Sokol said he highly appraises ASOIU’s experience in staff training for the oil and gas industry. He pointed at the importance of combining efforts with Kharkiv Polytechnic University, which specializes in other fields of industry, and establishing new cooperation. Sokol said they currently have successful cooperation ties with Turkish universities and expressed their interest in cooperation with ASOIU and other Azerbaijani universities.
