On April 28, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) held a Republic Subject Skills Contest on physics, mathematics, and chemistry for high school seniors.

A total of 201 eleventh-graders from Baku secondary schools took part in the competition. 71 of them tested their knowledge in physics, 90 in mathematics and 40 in chemistry. 

Notably, the exam was written, in Azerbaijani and Russian languages. Each student had a right to choose only one subject. The aim of the competition is to increase the interest of young people in exact sciences, discover talented students and guide them through the process of their career choice.
