On April 30, Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Professor Mustafa Babanli held a meeting with the Chairperson of the French Senate’s France-Caucasus Friendship Group, Senator Alain Houpert at the Azerbaijani-French University (UFAZ).
Rector, Professor Babanli spoke about bilateral relations between France and Azerbaijan, historical cooperation of the two countries, and specifically about the development of ties with France in the education sector and the role of UFAZ in the field of education and cooperation of the two countries. Professor Babanli provided the guests with comprehensive information on the admission to UFAZ, its training process, and academic offers. He stressed the developing ties with the University of Strasbourg and the University of Rennes 1 and noted the great value of educational exchange of experiences with the leading country of Europe - France in technical programs.
Chairperson of the France-Caucasus Friendship Group, Senator Alain Houpert said his country is known around the world for its fundamental research and added that they strive to continue broadening the ties with Azerbaijan in education and other scientific research works. He stressed that the oil-rich country Azerbaijan should further develop its potential not only in oil&gas but also in the education sector and other areas. He noted that the ties between the two countries will only serve their best to such development.
