Conference “Azerbaijani youth and Heydar Aliyev” dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Student Youth Organizations Union (ASYOU) and ASOIU Student Youth Organization (SYO) was held at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) on May 2.
Opening the event after the national anthem, ASOIU Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, Associate Professor Ata Babayev greeted the participants on behalf of the university’s Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli. He spoke about the youth policy founded by the national leader Heydar Aliyev and the attention and care of President Ilham Aliyev for the youth as the continuation of this policy.
Advisor to the Chairperson of ASYOU Huseyn Babayev informed that the Ministry of Youth and Sports was established in Azerbaijan as the manifestation of the national leader Heydar Aliyev’s attention and care for the Azerbaijani youth. The first Youth Forum took place in our independent state on February 2, 1996. According to the order signed by the great leader Heydar Aliyev on the same day, February 2 was declared as the Azerbaijani Youth Day.
Advisor to the Head of the Youth and Sports Division of the Nasimi district Shahmar Taghiyev spoke about the youth policy and the services of the great leader Heydar Aliyev for the Azerbaijani people. Taghiyev noted that this policy became a great stimulus to the development of youth and added that it is successfully continued today.
Addressing the event, Chairperson of ASOIU SYO Mugaddas Azzizade and ASOIU third-year student, social activist Aytaj Karimova talked about Heydar Aliyev’s role in the improvement of the Azerbaijani youth.
