Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) has held an event to mark the 95th anniversary of great leader Heydar Aliyev.

After the national anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, ASOIU Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli spoke about the glorious life path of the great leader, his activities in different periods. Highlighting that national leader Heydar Aliyev studied at AzII (ASOIU) in 1939-1941, Rector Mustafa Babanli stressed that he held higher positions from the young ages. Rector Mustafa Babanli noted that our country passed through incredible progress as a result of his leadership both during the USSR and in the years of independence. Mentioning Heydar Aliyev’s constant particular attention to science and education, Prof. Babanli emphasized that during his management thousands of young individuals received education abroad and returned to the motherland as highly-qualified professionals.

Member of Parliament Malahat Ibrahimgizi spoke about national leader Heydar Aliyev’s rich statehood heritage and invaluable merits before the nation. MP Malahat Ibrahimgizi said when Heydar Aliyev returned to power by the public insistence in 1993, Azerbaijan was facing with civil war, and as a result of the great leader’s far-sighted policy our country was saved from the danger of being separated. MP Malahat Ibrahimgizi said the great leader was recognized in the whole world as a politician with great reputation, adding that his ideas are successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev.   

Chairperson of ASOIU YAP first party organization, Associate Professor Tamilla Naibova was thanked for taking an active part in the Presidential election on April 11. In conclusion, a group of students and employees, who joined the New Azerbaijan Party of ASOIU, received their cards.
