On May 11, Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Professor Mustafa Babanli visited the secondary school No. 248 of Binagadi district. Rector Babanli firstly viewed math, biology and physics corners designed by the students. He highly appraised the stands and the interest of students in exact sciences. Then, Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli attended the event dedicated to the 95th anniversary of National leader Heydar Aliyev and the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic.

Then, Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli attended the event dedicated to the 95th anniversary of National leader Heydar Aliyev and the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic.

Representatives of Education Department and Executive Power of Binagadi district, chairperson of Binagadi district organization of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), as well as directors of several secondary schools, teachers, and students attended the event. Upper-grade students delivered reports on oil and development of oil industry, as well as on Heydar Aliyev’s contributions to oil industry. Reports were then followed by songs and poems performed by students and were very much liked by teachers, students and guests gathered in the hall.

Saying that he highly appreciates students’ performances and organization of this ceremony on the occasion of two important historic events, Rector, Professor Babanli talked about oil history and development of oil industry in Azerbaijan. Rector Babanli also spoke about historical significance of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic and particular role of National leader Heydar Aliyev in the establishment, strengthening and recognition of Azerbaijan in the world.

Khayyam Farajov, Acting director of the secondary school No. 248, spoke about unprecedented services of National leader Heydar Aliyev in the history of the Azerbaijani people. Other guests also pointed out historical importance of the establishment of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, work accomplished within a short period and recalled intellectual people of that time. Speakers also stressed that the policy of National leader Heydar Aliyev is successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev, and that the founder of the independent people of Azerbaijan will forever live in hearts.

A memorable gift was presented to the school at the end of the event.
