On May 17, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) held an event titled “Sports in Azerbaijan: Achievements and expectations”, co-organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations Union (ASYOU) and the university’s Student Youth Organization, with the participation of famous Azerbaijani athletes, who introduced our country to the world.

The meeting with students was attended by Vice-President of Ju-Jitsu Federation Seymur Safarov, world and European champion Rasul Chunayev, three-fold world champion Haji Aliyev, world and European champion Jabrayil Hasanov, two-fold Azerbaijani champion Kamran Shakhsuvarly, winner of the European Games Elvin Mursalov, two-fold Olympic winner, world and two-fold European champion Rovshan Bayramov.

Guests spoke about the state’s attention to the development of sports in the country and achievements of our athletes.
