The IV Alumni-Career Exhibition was held at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) on May 19. At the exhibition, 78 companies offered a total of 562 vacancies to ASOIU students and alumni. Among the exhibitors were SOCAR, BP, Azersu OJSC, Azerenergy OJSC, SOCAR Polymer, KCA Deutag and other state and private companies. Visited by up to 2000 students and alumni, the event caused a keen interest of participants.
Addressing the opening ceremony of the exhibition, ASOIU Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli noted that holding the Alumni-Career exhibitions at the university had turned into a tradition. He added that the exhibition is of great significance for the university and students. Pointing at the importance of such exhibitions in the extension of cooperation ties between the university and companies, Rector Babanli informed that the Alumni-Career Center along with organizing the exhibition also holds regular trainings for senior-year students.
Rector, Professor Babanli said one of the primary goals of the university is the training of professional staff, that meets the requirements of the country’s economy and industry. He said that ASOIU aims to transform into a university which corresponds to international standards.
ASOIU Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli then viewed the company stands and discussed the available vacancies with company representatives. Students who took an active part in the trainings of the Alumni-Career Center were awarded certificates at the event.
The exhibition lasted from 10:00 to 13:00.
