On June 21, the Azerbaijani-French University (UFAZ) under Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) held a meeting with Ambassador of Greece to Azerbaijan Nicolaos D. Kanellos. The meeting was attended by ASOIU Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli, UFAZ Executive Director, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov, Secretary General Charlotte Payen, ASOIU and UFAZ representatives. Ambassador Nicolaos D. Kanellos first got acquainted with the UFAZ premises, training process, study halls, laboratories.
Rector Mustafa Babanli thanked Mr. Ambassador for his visit and provided comprehensive information on the UFAZ project. He said UFAZ was established in 2014 at the initiative of Azerbaijani and French Presidents and stressed that from September 2016, the university conducts student admission in 4 technical specializations. Rector Babanli informed that UFAZ provides education in Chemical Engineering, Oil and Gas Engineering, Geophysical Engineering and Computer Science by the standards of the French education system. He underlined that without going abroad students will be able to obtain the diplomas of ASOIU and the University of Strasbourg.
Being content with visiting the Azerbaijani-French University, Ambassador of Greece to Azerbaijan Nicolaos D. Kanellos said UFAZ is indeed an excellent project that offers great opportunities. Mr. Ambassador noted that the educational conditions here exceeded his expectations. He also highlighted that he will be more than glad to cooperate with ASOIU and UFAZ in various fields.
