National Hero Mubariz Ibrahimov commemorated at ASOIU

On June 21, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) held a commemoration event in memory of National Hero Mubariz Ibrahimov. Rector of ASOIU, Professor Mustafa Babanli, MP Elmira Akhundova, Head of the Museum of Azerbaijan’s Military History, Colonel Azizagha Ganizade, as well as academic staff members and students of the university attended the event.

Commencing with the national anthem, the event was followed by a minute of silence to honor the memory of National Hero Mubariz Ibrahimov and martyrs who lost their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

Opening the event, Rector of ASOIU, Professor Babanli spoke about National Hero Mubariz Ibrahimov’s short but glorious life and battle path and heroism. Rector stressed that his heroism is an example for each youth. Rector Babanli said that as long as there are the Azerbaijani people, heroes like Mubariz will always live in hearts and will never be forgotten.

MP Elmira Akhundova informed about Ibrahimov’s loyalty to homeland and the ineffaceable marks he left in Azerbaijan’s history of heroism. Akhundova said the Azerbaijani people have thousands of hero martyrs like Mubariz and expressed confidence that we will liberate our lands from occupation of the enemy.

Addressing the event, Head of the Museum of Azerbaijan’s Military History, Colonel Azizagha Ganizade spoke about the life and military activity of National Hero Mubariz Ibrahimov. Ganizade noted that after Ibrahimov’s heroism, our youth and our army once again proved their might in April fights, as well as in Nakhchivan.
