Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Professor Mustafa Babanli is attending THE Research Excellence Summit: Eurasia 2018 run by Times Higher Education, the world universities ranking magazine, in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan. 

Within the Summit, Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli met on August 31 with Professor Ilshat Gafurov, Rector of Kazan Federal University (KFU), the second largest higher education institution in Russia, the 10^th in the Times Higher Education rankings among the universities in the Eurasia region. The two rectors had a broad exchange of views about the issues of educational establishments and ways of their solution, shared the experience and achievements of their universities.  

Rector of KFU showed some scientific research labs to the guest and offered to conduct joint research works in the field of oil extraction and chemical technology. The university rectors agreed upon joint cooperation in various fields.

Mustafa Babanli then became familiar with museum exhibits containing information about the rich history and notable alumni of the university.
