On September 22 the International Association of Energy Universities was founded with the participation of university leaders of 28 oil universities from 16 countries of the world, including the rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Professor Mustafa Babanli. At the founding congress, university rectors signed the Declaration and also admitted the Charter of Association. One of the main tasks of the Association is to create a global educational space in the energy sector. At the founding Congress rector of ASOIU M. Babanli delivered a speech on "International Cooperation Experience of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University". The speech was warmly welcomed by forum participants.
