The memorandum of cooperation was signed between ASOIU and the China University of Petrolium .

On September 23 rector of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, Professor Mustafa Babanli was on a visit to Beijing, the capital of the Republic of China and attended a ceremony dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the foundation of the China University of Petroleum. Rector of ASOIU, Professor M. Babanli and the rector of the China University of Petroleum, Professor Zhang Laibin held talks on future joint activities. As a result of the negotiations, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the two universities.
