ASOIU hosted International Teachers' Day

On October 5, the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) hosted an event dedicated to October 5 - International Teachers' Day. The event started with the National Anthem of Azerbaijan Republic.  Making an opening speech rector of ASOIU, Professor Mustafa Babanli congratulated teachers for the International Teachers' Day and noted that the most glorious and sacred position in this direction is the teacher. Speaking about the glorious and very responsible profession of the teachers, Rector M. Babanli noted that all responsibilities in this direction are on teachers' shoulders. Rector M. Babanli touched upon the organization of current social protection of teachers and spoke about the works carried out in this direction with the management of the President Ilham Aliyev. Congratulating the ASOIU teaching staff on the occasion of the private day MP Aydin Mirzazade noted that Azerbaijani teachers are always reputable and ASOIU has highly qualified and distinguished teaching staff. Speaking about the educational strategy established by national leader Haydar Aliyev, MP A. Mirzazade emphasized that education is strategically one of the most important fields. The editor-in-chief of the "Iki Sahil Newspaper", ASOIU graduate Vugar Rahimzadeh, in his speech congratulated teaching staff of ASOIU and underlined teachers' efforts in every success. Later, the names of 20 teachers who received awards completing teaching activity flawlessly in the 2017-2018 academic year were announced. It should be noted that, since October 5, 1994, it was established as International Teachers' Day by UNESCO.
