On October 9, with the support of the Ministry of Education and Microsoft Azerbaijan, the presentation of the unit academic testing center for the students of all educational institutions of the country was held at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU). The Vice-Rector for academic affairs of ASOIU Gasim Mammadov made a speech at the conference and evaluated the launch of the center as a significant event in the university. Nothing that ASOIU has close partnership relations with "Microsoft Azerbaijan" G.Mammadov highlighted that students and teachers of the university use Microsoft's licensed programs and currently works are continuing in the direction of improving the integration of information resources of the company into ASOIU's educational program. The vice-rector stressed that ASOIU is an active member of Microsoft Azerbaijan's "Imagine Academy" program and students of the university successfully participated in the "Microsoft Imagine Cup 2018" innovation competition. By the launch of the center today, the trustworthy partnership relations between ASOIU and “Microsoft Azerbaijan” begin a new stage. Gasim Mammadov noted that the center will provide students and teachers with the access to "Microsoft" content and to prepare for the appropriate certification exam, which will serve to increase the professionalism and competitiveness of young people in the global labor market and will be reachable for all students at the republican level. The purpose of the opening of this center is to train IT specialists whose professionalism will be certified with the international certification by the unit academic testing center. Students of various higher education institutions will be able to receive high-quality education on Microsoft's authorized courses and take appropriate exams with the favorable conditions. “Microsoft Imagine Academy” is functioning within the framework of the testing center and for teaching and certification of teaching staff and students are provided with the education programs and resources based on the own technologies of the institution and Microsoft's products. The teaching programs of “Microsoft Imagine Academy” is organized so that, students and teachers could receive certification and skills consistently recognized by employers and required for future careers. At present, similar academies of Microsoft are functioning in 5 educational institutions of the country. Today, we are glad to witness the new contribution of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, the Ministry of Education and Microsoft Azerbaijan to the education sector which is one of the priorities for the company. Microsoft business development manager Emin Akundov noted that taking into account the main components of Microsoft's National Plan for Azerbaijan, the development of innovation in the country, increasing the economic efficiency of the businesses and transforming the education system, opening the unit academic testing center in Azerbaijan is a very significant event. Other guests of the event talked about the importance of creating a unit academic testing center for students and contributions to the education sector.
