On October 11, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Associate Professor of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University Gasim Mammadov and the director of the Public Relations and Marketing Department Bahruz Nazarov held several bilateral meetings within the framework of the 12th Azerbaijan International Education Exhibition.
During the meeting, discussions were held in the field of education and science with Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences of the University of West Bohemia of Czech Republic Milos Zelezny. Providing information about the university, Dean Milos Zelezny noted that, the University of Western Bohemia is a state university with 11,000 students and has been operating since 1991. Noting that the university has the most modern labs for teaching and research, he highlighted that, they are interested in exchanging in the field of education and science with ASOIU. Dean M. Zelezny noted that cooperation is possible within the framework of bilateral and International Credit Mobility project. Associate Professor of ASOIU Gasim Mammadov provided information about the academic process and works carried out in the scientific field and noted that the university is ready to cooperate with the University of West Bohemia. The director of the Public Relations and Marketing Department Bahruz Nazarov provided information about 500 foreign students studying at the university and works are carried out in the direction of increasing their number. Noting that, among foreign students from more than 20 countries there are also European students studying at ASOIU, he pointed out that it is possible to carry out student exchange between ASOIU and the University of Western Bohemia. At the meeting, the sides agreed to continue negotiations on cooperation.
At the meeting, the main topic of discussion with Deputy Director of the South-Ural State University's Scientific Production Institute "Uchtex-Profi" Anna Klistorner, was the laboratory and other equipment for teaching and scientific works. He noted that the equipment produced by the institute meet the modern world standards. Noting the equipment for modern teaching and scientific works attach a great importance for the university, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of ASOIU, Associate Professor Gasim Mammadov highlighted that the meeting with representatives of the Uchtex-Profi Scientific-Production Institute, which is planned to be held on October 12 in ASOIU, will be useful in this regard.
The study of youth from Turkey and Iran at ASOIU was discussed with CELT Collages company representative Khayyam Demirov at the meeting. CELT Colleges company reported that it is ready to mediate in attracting students from mentioned countries to ASOIU. Vice-Rector on Academic Affairs of ASOIU Gashim Mammadov evaluated the study of more international students at the university as one of the priorities. At the meeting, the sides agreed to hold detailed discussions regarding the issue with the participation of International Students Dean's Office of ASOIU.
At the meeting with Marketing Communications Manager of Dərs Evi educational company Gunay Rasulova, the issue on the organization of excursions for high class students to ASOIU participating at the courses organized by the company, as well as English language courses on preferential terms for ASOIU's students was discussed. Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs of ASOIU Gasim Mammadov said that ASOIU is ready to cooperate in connection with both issues. He invited representatives of the company to ASOIU to reach agreement associated with this.
During the meeting with representatives of the Career company in Europe, discussions were held on providing ASOIU's graduates with a job in the Czech Republic. The director of the Public Relations and Marketing Department of ASOIU said that the employment rate of graduates of the university is high. In 2018 during the education period of 506 masters out of 515 were provided with a job according to their specialty. In addition, noting Alumni-Career Center operates in the university to provide with job more students of ASOIU, director highlighted that thanks to Alumni-Career Exhibition functioning at the university hundreds of ASOIU graduates have been provided with the job and participated in a practical internship. At the meeting, an agreement reached on presentation of Career Company in Europe for ASOIU students, as well as participation in the next Alumni-Career exhibition.
ASOIU actively participated in bilateral meetings organized within the framework of 12th Azerbaijan International Education Exhibition and was awarded a certificate.
