On October 31 the Academic Board of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) held its next meeting.

Before passing to issues on the agenda, ASOIU Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli congratulated professor, head of the Department of Petrochemical Technology Alakbar Hasanov and the dean of the faculty, Associate Professor Zakir Hasanov on their 70th anniversary and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Associate Professor Gasim Mammadov on his 60th anniversary, wished them success in their future endeavors.  Vice-rector for Academic Affairs, Associate Professor Gasım Mammadov provided detailed information to the members of the Scientific Board on the implementation of the academic load for the 2017/2018 academic year and the staff of the teaching and teaching assistant personnel for the 2018/2019 academic year.

Later, Bahruz Nazarov, Director of the Public Relations and Marketing Department, made a report on the productive internship of ASOIU's students in the 2017/2018 academic year.

Dean of the Foreign Students Office, Candidate of Technical Sciences Yashar Hasanov made a report about the education of the foreign and doctoral students. At the meeting dean of Faculty of Geological-Exploration, Associate Professor Namad Pashayev gave a yearly report. The meeting also featured discussions about the establishment of a scholarship named after Yusuf Mammadaliyev, analysis of the results of the thesis and master's dissertations, the status of the startup in ASOIU, discipline and so on.
