ASOIU holds meeting with the minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov

On Movember 27 the meeting was held with the minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Republic Parviz Shahbazov at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU).

Opening the event, rector of ASOIU, Professor Mustafa Babanli greeted the guest and provided information about the works conducted at the university. Speaking about the importance of supporting the state in the formation of human capital, Professor M. Babanli underlined that several programs were carried out within the framework of the educational strategy. Noting that ASOIU, which takes its activities from these documents, also supports the country's personnel and energy potential, M. Babanli emphasized that at present the university cooperates with a number of local and foreign companies in different directions. Noting that along with teaching there is a boost in scientific activity and innovation field at the university, rector M. Babanli stressed that, on November 12,  Wattbooster power saving device of  ASOIU's  Scientific-Research Institute of Automation of Control Processes was presented to President Ilham Aliyev. Noting that ASOIU is a university which training personnel on the energy field, applying rich traditions and modern innovation, rector M.Babanli underlined that he is interested in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy in training highly qualified personnel for various fields of our national industry.

The Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Parviz Shahbazov, expressed his pride of being in the university after many years. The minister also said that he is aware of the works carried out in the direction to improve the quality of education at ADNSU today. Speaking about the works and projects conducted in the field of the use of the country's energy, oil and gas reserve, Parviz Shahbazov spoke about the importance of the Shahdeniz gas project. Noting the economic growth in Azerbaijan, the minister P. Shahbazov spoke about the development of the country's oil and gas sector. Noting that the development of technology also accelerated the development in the energy sector, P. Shahbazov highlighted that these processes created conditions for the development of human capital. At the end of the speech, the Minister of Energy emphasized that there is a need for personnel to build and develop the country's future energy and noted the importance of jointly working with universities in this field.

Later, a memorial gift was presented to the Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov.
