On January 10, the members of Public Reliance Council of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) observed the autumn examination session at the university.

Chairman of the Public Reliance Council, MP Aydin Mirzazade, members of the council - Sahib Mammadov, Etibar Aliyev, Ilham Shaban, Saadat Mammadova, as well as media representatives observed the the examination process held at auditoriums, acquinted with students' level of preparation, conditions created for the exams, as well as the work process of the Examination Center established in order to provide transparency and exchanged views.

The Public Reliance Council was informed about the participation of 12430 students till January 10 in the autumn examination session of the academic year 2018-2019, as well as organization of exams in accordance with current regulations, provision of transparency and fairness in the evaluation of students’ knowledge and other important points. It was noted that on January 10, 39 groups took written and 60 groups written and oral exams at ASOIU.

Later ASOIU Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli provided the Council members with information on the organization of autumn examination session and the results so far. Saying that they allocated a wide range of spaces for oral exams this year, rector, professor M.Babanli noted that the electronic network was fully set up in order to ensure the control over the examination process, the exams on non-qualification subjects were held in testing form and 90% of the exams were conducted in written and oral form.

Council members shared their views on the level of organization of the exams at ASOIU, praised the transparent training environment at the university, the conditions created to allow students to freely express their knowledge and highly appreciated new library contribution which operates 24/7.

Notably, the exams are held in two shifts and 3 forms (written, written-oral and testing) at ASOIU. Exam answers are coded and the results are posted within 24 hours in the e-university (Unibook). Autumn semester exam session in ASOIU has started in the part-time department on December 20 and in the full-time department on January 3. Students who have got unsatisfactory marks (only 2 subjects on the failed exam) may take a re-exam by paying 25% payment from February 3 to 14.
