The Enactus team from Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) achieved 2nd place in the Enactus national finals, a social entrepreneurship competition. In total, 6 universities out of 24 participants advanced to the Enactus National Finals.
ASOIU's team, with its innovative projects ABC and Vecta, performed admirably in the finals and secured 2nd place.
ABC is a system of head movement-controlled wheelchairs designed for individuals with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) and other mobility impairments. It serves as a communication aid for people who lose their ability to communicate verbally due to conditions like ALS.
Vecta is an intelligent control system designed for farmers. The Vecta device can gather information about soil and weather conditions, measuring humidity, temperature, wind direction, and speed in different soil layers. Additionally, a website system has been created for data collection.
The team members who effectively participated in the competition include Farid Shikhiev, Rufat Shikhiev, Murad Samadov, Nargiz Gafarova, Subhan Ibrahimli, Chingiz Gurbanli, Narmin Gasimli, Aqshin Salimzade, Gadir Ahmadov, Nuri Rustamov, and the team's mentor, Elviz Ismayilov.
