Within the frames of the visit to the People’s Republic of China, the delegation headed by Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, Professor Mustafa Babanli was on December 22 at Lanzhou University of Finance and Economics. Rector of Lanzhou University of Finance and Economics, one of the most influential and modern universities in China, Professor Fu De Yin greeted the guests and informed the Azerbaijani delegation about the activity of the university. He expressed interest in building and developing the cooperation ties with ASOIU.
Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli said ASOIU attaches particular importance to building the ties with Chinese universities, touching upon possible directions of cooperation with Lanzhou University of Finance and Economics. Informing that ASOIU has reach experience in training of staff for petrochemical industry with highly specialized academic staff members, Rector M. Babanli stressed that the university also provides high-quality education in non-oil industry, IT, economics and management. Rector M. Babanli pointed out that over 100 Chinese citizens currently study at Bachelor’s level and preparatory courses, adding that there are widespread opportunities to increase their number.
As a result of negotiations, ASOIU Rector M. Babanli and Rector of Lanzhou University of Finance and Economics Fu De Yin signed a contract on the preparation of Masters and Ph.D. candidates in Baku, conduction of joint research and teacher exchange.
It should be recalled that ASOIU has built close cooperation ties with several influential universities of China, including China University of Petroleum, Shanghai University, Lanzhou University and other higher education institutions within the last two years.
