On the dates of July 31 to August 11, 2023, the International Cooperation Office of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) will jointly organise the 5th International Summer School on the topic of “Riding the Energy Transition: Post-Oil Economy, Alternative Energy, Environmental Protection.” As part of the summer school program, both Azerbaijani and international students (10 from Germany and 5 from ASOIU) will have the opportunity to participate in excursions to various cultural centres and oil company offices in our country.
During the summer school, participants will have the opportunity to attend presentations on relevant subjects delivered by representatives from SOCAR, BP, SOFAZ, ‘Prosol’ Technology Company, and other institutions. Besides the academic program, cultural events will also be organised for the attendees. These events include excursions to Absheronneft Oil and Gas Production Department, the historic site of the world’s first industrially drilled oil well in Bibiheybat, SOFAZ, Icherisheher (Old City), Heydar Aliyev Center, and a visit to Sheki.
It should be noted that the “ASOIU Summer School-2023” will be held until August 11. DAAD will cover the financial expenses for the summer school.
