On November 5, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) hosted a food safety exhibition organized by the Department of "Technology of Organic Substances and High Molecular Compounds" within the Faculty of Chemical Technology.
The exhibition, titled "From Theory to Practice-2024," showcased various food products prepared by 10 teams of Food Engineering students.
In his opening speech, Acting Rector of ASOIU, Associate Professor Vazeh Askarov, praised the department's initiative in organizing the food exhibition for the second time at the university. He emphasized the particular importance of combining theoretical education with practical experience for students in the Food Engineering program.
Professor Fariz Amirli, Head of the Department of "Technology of Organic Substances and High Molecular Compounds", noted that such exhibitions play a crucial role in helping students master their specialization and increase their awareness of food safety issues.
Following the opening speeches, attendees toured the exhibition, meeting with the teams and examining their prepared food products.
During the exhibition, Acting Rector Vazeh Askarov met with leaders and representatives from the department's partner companies. The meeting included discussions about student internship opportunities, potential areas for company collaboration, and other related topics.
