The Start-up and TTO Department is one of the key structural units of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University that coordinates innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology transfer activities.
The department supports the development of innovative ideas from students, faculty members, and researchers, the formation of startups, the commercialization of scientific results, and the strengthening of university–industry collaboration. At the same time, it coordinates initiatives such as incubation programs, hackathons, mentoring, prototyping, and the innovation ecosystem.

Ahmad Ahmadzada is an academic and managerial specialist working in applied artificial intelligence, innovation management, and technology transfer.
He coordinates the activities of the Start-up and TTO Department at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, leading incubation programs, hackathons, industry partnerships, and prototyping initiatives.
At the same time, he works as a senior lecturer at the university, engaging with students and startup teams in AI/ML, entrepreneurship, and digital innovation. His research interests include applied AI, robotics, risk-based decision-making, and NLP-based plagiarism detection.

The Innovation Center operating at ASOIU is curated by the Start-up and TTO Department and plays a significant role in developing the university’s innovation ecosystem, supporting startup initiatives, and coordinating prototyping and applied technology activities.
The center also includes robotics, electronics, mechanics, and computer laboratories, as well as 3D printing equipment for prototyping. These facilities enable students and teams to test their ideas in a practical environment, develop initial prototypes, and work on technical solutions.
