Information and Statistics Department



The department under the Academic Affairs Department supervises the accurate, complete, and up-to-date recording of data related to educational entities within integrated information systems of various state institutions, in accordance with the university’s strategic development goals. At the same time, it ensures the timely and accurate entry of data into state information systems and organizes the systematic collection, processing, and analysis of statistical data. It also ensures the preparation of draft orders related to the academic mobility of students, as well as diplomas and other educational documents, and monitors their compliance with established standards.

Main Areas of Activity

Management of student data and ensuring information security

  • Documentation and management of students’ academic mobility
  • Registration of graduating students and management of educational documents
  • Implementation of data exchange with state information systems
  • Collection, analysis, and ensuring reporting of statistical data

Main Responsibilities

  • To ensure the confidentiality of student data and its management in accordance with information security requirements.
  • To organize the documentation process related to students’ academic mobility (admission, reinstatement, expulsion, academic leave, etc.) and ensure the preparation of relevant orders.
  • To register information related to graduate status and form a database of the graduate contingent.
  • To supervise the accurate and timely transfer of student data to state information systems (Ministry of Science and Education, EATDA, SSC, DIM, etc.).
  • To collect, systematize, and analyze statistical data on the student contingent.
  • To prepare analytical reports and statistical data for internal management and decision-making.
  • To prepare annual, semester, and thematic statistical reports and submit them to relevant institutions.
  • To ensure the preparation of diplomas and diploma supplements for graduates, and to provide duplicate documents and certificates.
  • To supervise the implementation of documentation and data management processes related to students in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • To prepare the data and documents required for accreditation, audits, and other inspection processes.

Management

Head of Department, dissertation candidate: Hajar Eldarova

Hajar Eldarova has worked for more than 15 years in various positions in the higher education system in the fields of educational management and quality assurance (tutor, specialist, senior specialist, deputy dean, head of division, head of department, advisor to the rector, education and quality expert, etc.). She received her bachelor's, master's, and doctoral education at Baku State University. She is also engaged in scientific and pedagogical activities. Currently, she works as a senior lecturer at the Department of Petrochemical Technology and Industrial Ecology of ASOIU. She is the author of more than 14 scientific articles and co-author of one book. Since 2025, she has been working as the Head of the Information and Statistics Department under the Academic Affairs Department at ASOIU.
