Since 1936, it has operated independently as the Faculty of Geological Exploration.
Since its establishment, the faculty has trained not only national specialists but also professionals for many foreign countries. This tradition continues successfully today. In the past, the faculty’s professional academic staff actively participated in training specialists for countries such as Germany, India, Afghanistan, Syria, Egypt, Sudan, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Angola, Pakistan, Yemen, Lebanon, Ethiopia, Algeria, Mali, Cuba, Peru, Colombia, Madagascar, and others.

He entered the Azerbaijan Oil and Chemistry Institute in 1978 and graduated in 1983 with a degree in Mining Engineer-Geophysicist. In 1998, he earned his PhD degree.
Since 1998, he has worked as an Associate Professor in the Department of Geophysics. He has held various administrative roles:
