On December 7 a meeting was held with the winners of the " University grant" competition announced by the Science Center of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU).
ASOIU's rector, professor Mustafa Babanli congratulated the winners and noted that he believes that this contest will contribute not only to the university but also the development of the science of Azerbaijan in general. Saying that the purpose of the competition is to support innovative research projects in the university, to stimulate the scientific activity of creative scientists and to create additional creative opportunities for them, rector Mustafa Babanli noted that this project is being planned to continue in the future.
Notably, according to the results of the scientific expertise and the discussions held at the Academic Board of the University 6 out of 21 submitted projects were selected winners.
The subjects on "Improving the efficiency of pipeline operation on the basis of modeling of mono and multifasional flows" of the department of "Oil and Gas Transportation and Storage" and "General and Applied Mathematics", on "Scientific basis of the development of master valve construction in intensive condition under high pressure" of the department of "Oil and Gas Equipment", on "Corrosion-resistant coating composition" of the department of "Organic substances and technology of high molecules compounds", on "Modeling of migration-flow fields between stratified and heterogeneous beds of oil and gas in Azerbaijan's hydrocarbon deposits" of the department of Doctorate and SRL's "Physical properties of oil and gas deposits rocks", on "Magnetic Functional Materials Preparation" of SRL's "Nanomaterials and Nanotechnologies" and on "Hybrid Energy Supply System Development at ASOIU's Educational and Administrative Buildings on Alternative Energy Sources" of SRL's "Energy problems" were the winner of the "University grant" competition.
The execution period of the winning projects in Grant competition is 1 year, the amount of each grant is 50,000 manat. The execution of the project will start in January 2019. Financing of the projects will be carried out on the basis of the monitoring results of conducted works on tranches in four stages. The last tranche will be submitted to the authors of the project after the project is fully ready and handed over.
