We are excited to announce upcoming Green Transformation Engineering Training Program, a collaboration between Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University and Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA).
Below are the key points regarding student selection and training:
1. Eligibility:
- Students from both undergraduate and graduate programs related to environmental majors are eligible.
- Preference will be given to students in their 3rd and 4th years, alongside graduate students.
2. Training Format:
- Basic Level Training will be conducted online via Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University’s Continuing Education Center (SEM) system.
- Students have the flexibility to attend classes at any time during the 4-week period, tracked by the system.
- The total training duration is 32 hours, with each course lasting up to 40 minutes.
- Face-to-Face Training:
- A 5-day, 30-hour face-to-face training session is planned in Baku, where up to three instructors from Turkey will lead the classes.
3. Language of Instruction:
- Online training will be in Turkish, with Azerbaijani subtitles.
- Face-to-face training may be conducted in Turkish or English, depending on the participants' English proficiency.
4. Certification and Further Opportunities:
- Participants who successfully complete the Basic Level Training will receive a certificate of achievement or participation, depending on exam results.
- The top 20 students from the Basic Level will be selected for the Advanced Level Training, where they will again be evaluated through an exam.
- The top 5 students from the Advanced Level will be offered internships with companies involved in green transformation projects in Çanakkale, Turkey, for 10 days. These students will also receive a reference letter.
5. Objective:
This program aims to prepare engineering students to become "Green Collar" employees, equipped to contribute to sustainable, green transformation initiatives within the international labor market. As the demand for expertise in green transformation grows, this program will provide participants with valuable skills and real-world experience.
