On October 4-7, 4 students of the Department of Instrument Engineering of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) participated in the “1st İCESCO workshop on fundamentals of instrumentation & Reverse Engineering” held at Baku State University (BSU).

In the competition, ASOIU was represented by a team of 4 students who invented a device called “Blind Cone - a smart stick for the blind” that took second place. Imamrza Guluzadeh, a fourth-year student of ASOIU’s Faculty of Information Technologies and Control, and other team members were awarded second-place certificates.

It should be noted that each of the 8 teams from different universities had 4 participants. The seminar’s purpose initiated by ICESCO and with the participation of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the National Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan on ICESCO was to present the main ideas on the design of devices, reverse engineering, and inform the participants about using various types of sensors, collect and process data.
