On January 12, the first meeting of the joint working group on cooperation between ASOIU and the KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology of India (KPRIET) was held.
Issues arising from the agreement signed between ASOIU and KPRIET on December 15, 2021, were discussed at the meeting. The head of the working group, the Dean of the International Students Office Associate Professor Yashar Hasanov, stressed that the cooperation would cover all stages of the scientific and educational sphere.
Dean of the Faculty of Chemical Technology, Professor Sevinj Mammadkhanova, Dean of the Faculty of Oil Mechanical Engineering, Associate Professor Ali Hikmet Ahmedov, Professor of the Department of Industrial Machines Ibrahim Habibov, Professor Alesker Aliyev, Head of the Department of Materials Science and Processing Technologies, Associate Professor Tahir Jabbarov, Head of the Department of Industrial Machines, Associate Professor Jamaladdin Aslanov, and Associate Professor Ramil Sadygov spoke at the meeting.
During the speeches, the prospects for a cooperation agreement between the two universities, subjects and logistics to be provided by the Indian Institute, the exchange of teaching staff, double degree programs, joint design of scientific and technical works, and specialities' choice were discussed.
It should be noted that within the framework of the joint project that starts on October 1, 2022, ASOIU's specialities "Chemical Engineering" and "Mechanical Engineering" will be created at KPRIET. To get acquainted with the implementation of the educational process, the methods used, the quality of on-site training, ASOIU will organize visits to the Republic of India (partner university) every academic year. The invited teaching staff will train ASOIU students there and conduct seminars and training for Indian teachers.
