Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) Professor Mustafa Babanli met on June 7 with Pavel Ilyushin, Director, and Anton Garbushin, Deputy Director of the Science and Educational Center "Geology and development of oil and gas fields" at Perm National Research Polytechnic University, Russia and Anton Kozlov, Head of the integral operations center of "Lukoil-Perm" LLC.

At the meeting featuring discussions on cooperation directions between the two universities, the parties talked about student exchange and other matters.

Greeting the guests, Rector M. Babanli shared detailed information about the history of the university, taught programs, international relations, conducted reforms and their positive outcomes. Speaking about UFAZ and startup projects, Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli stressed that the primary purpose of the university is to prepare students that will correspond to the requirements of the modern world and adopt technological innovations. Rector M. Babanli noted the importance of strengthening of connections in the expansion of cooperation and student exchange.

Pavel Ilyushin, Director of the Science and Educational Center "Geology and development of oil and gas fields" at Perm National Research Polytechnic University, said that ASOIU has a very interesting experience concerning startup, pointing to the significance of establishing the cooperation in specific areas. The creation of Technopark and four topics for possible collaboration with ASOIU in this field have already been specified, said Ilyushin.  

At the end of the event, the parties agreed to sign a new memorandum of cooperation.
