On October 12, the presentation of SOCAR's "Young Talents Program" took place at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU).
Speaking at the event, Latafat Gardashova, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs at ASOIU, encouraged students not only to acquire theoretical knowledge but also engage actively in gaining practical experience and take advantage of such experience programs.
Javid Umbayev, Head of Recruitment division at SOCAR Recruitment, greeted the participants and provided information about SOCAR's activities, projects related to youth, and programs. He mentioned that the program, which is being held for the third time, 15 students from ASOIU were selected last year and successfully employed at SOCAR.
Shohrat Isa-zada, Advisor to the Vice President for Field Developments at SOCAR and an ASOIU alumnus, spoke about scholarship programs and emphasized the importance of these programs for youth. He also shared his own experiences.
Hamid Israfilov, Deputy Head of Recruitment division at SOCAR Recruitment, presented the "Young Talents Program," providing detailed information to the students about the advantages, application procedures, terms, and prospects of the program.
Finally, questions from the participants were addressed.
It should be noted that SOCAR initiated the "Young Talents Program" in the academic year 2022-2023 to discover the potential of talented youth, accelerate their integration into the labor market, provide scholarships to students studying in the 3rd and 4th years of higher education institutions, as well as master's programs, ensuring their development and employment opportunities at SOCAR. After successfully completing the internship and final selection phase, candidates are offered positions at SOCAR by the company.
