In 2023, academic staff of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) published 191 scientific works in "Web of Science" and 383 in "Scopus." So far, ASOIU researchers have contributed 1896 scientific articles to journals indexed in "Scopus."

Analyzing the increase in references to ASOIU researchers and their scientific articles in citation databases over the past year, the H-index indicators show growth. In "Scopus," the H-index increased from 37 to 41, and in "Web of Science," it increased from 34 to 37.

The number of published articles by ASOIU researchers in the "Scopus" database has been on an upward trend in recent years. In 2020, 193 articles were published, followed by 232 in 2021, 273 in 2022, and 383 in 2023. In the first month of 2024, there are already 13 articles.

Over the past three years, the number of articles published internationally in databases related to ASOIU has increased by 100%, from 193 citations in 2020 to 383 in 2023. Additionally, the number of references to ASOIU researchers' scientific articles increased from 1033 in 2020 to 1931 in 2023. According to official information from the "Clarivate Analytics" International Information Agency, the average number of references per scientific article increased from 3.87 to 4.53.
