Meeting of ASOIU and WMG Dual Diploma Program Steering Committee in the UK

From April 15, meetings of the Steering Committee (SC) of the MSc Dual Diploma Program in Renewable Energy between Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) and Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG) began in the United Kingdom.
The ASOIU delegation, consisting of Acting Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov, Advisor to the Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Nijat Mammadli, Head of the State Programme Implementation Unit Turan Topalova, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs at ASOIU Latafat Gardashova, Acting Director of the Azerbaijani-French University operating under ASOIU Latifa Nasibova, Director General of the ASOIU-Warwick University Dual Diploma Program Rafig Aliyev, and Program Secretary Farid Kazimov, first familiarized themselves with Warwick University. After visiting the International Manufacturing Centre, Energy Innovation Centre, Robotics and Automation Laboratory of the National Automotive Innovation Centre, and the Degree Apprenticeship Centre, they held discussions with Warwick University's administrative team. Robin Clark, the Managing Director of Warwick Manufacturing Group, provided information to the Azerbaijani delegation about the university, academic matters, and future initiatives.
On April 16, the meeting of the Steering Committee (SC) of the MSc Dual Diploma Program in Renewable Energy between Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) and Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG) was held. The meeting, attended by Robin Clark, Managing Director of Warwick Manufacturing Group; Rob Thornton, Associate Dean, Undergraduate Programs; Phil Lewis, Course Director of MSc Renewable Energy; and Gareth Roberts, Head of Special Projects at WMG, focused on discussions related to training the new generation of specialists in the renewable energy sector and strengthening cooperation in the field of science and education.
Following the Steering Committee meeting, the Azerbaijani delegation met with Azerbaijani students studying at Warwick University and visited the Materials Engineering Centre (MEC). Among the students from various universities were graduates of ASOIU. During the meetings, it was noted that students enrolled in the Dual Diploma Program in renewable energy will participate in the upcoming "Summer School" at ASOIU in July of this year.
It is worth mentioning that within the framework of the visit, on April 17, the Azerbaijani delegation will hold a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.
Meetings within the framework of the Azerbaijani delegation's visit for the MSc Dual Diploma Program in Renewable Energy between ASOIU and WMG will continue until April 18.
