On May 1, a "GreenTech Startup and Green Technologies" competition was held at Azerbaijan Technological University within the framework of the "Green World Solidarity Year". The event was attended by several higher education institution leaders, including ASOIU's Acting Rector, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov, rector's advisor Salman Salmanov, and the chairman of the university's Student Trade Union Committee, Namig Ganjayev.

The competition, organized with the support of Azerbaijan Technological University, the Education Development Fund, the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, Kapital Bank, Azersun, ATS Food, AZGRANATA LLC, and the “One” Student Volunteer Organization, saw participation from over 60 teams and nearly 200 students from 17 higher education institutions across the country, including ASOIU.

ASOIU's students Kamran Heydarov, Jamil Aslanov, Agshin Salimzadeh, Sadig Aliyev, and Leyla Kazimzadeh actively participated in the competition. Members of our students' team 'PENTAGON', Sadig Aliyev and Leyla Kazimzadeh, were awarded 1st place in the Robotics category with the Sand Cleaner project and 3rd place in the Artificial Intelligence for Sustainability category with the Agro Helper project.
