On May 3, the Acting Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov, met with a delegation led by the Rector of Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology (TICT), Professor Botir Usmonov, along with Vice-Rector Anvar Shernayev and the Rector's Advisor Ruslan Imanzade.
Acting Rector Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov welcomed the guests to the university and provided detailed information about the specialties offered at ASOIU, international relations, dual degree programs, and the university's infrastructure, highlighting significant milestones in its history and development.
Professor Botir Usmonov, the Rector of TICT, expressed satisfaction with the visit to ASOIU and extended gratitude for the hospitality, also sharing detailed information about his represented institution.
Discussions during the meeting centered around expanding cooperation in chemical technologies, petroleum engineering, alternative energy, and green energy, including staff training, student and faculty exchanges, as well as joint scientific research and green energy projects. Both parties expressed interest in collaboration.
At the conclusion of the meeting, commemorative gifts were exchanged. The guests also toured ASOIU's laboratories and gained insights into the university's teaching processes.
