On May 31, the 15th Alumni-Career Fair was held at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU). Over 110 state institutions and private companies participated, including the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, SOCAR, the State Employment Agency, AzerGold CJSC, ASAN Service, PASHA Insurance OJSC, Balakhani Operations Company LTD, Caspian Event Organisers LLC, Bahar Energy Operating Company Limited Representative Office, AzeriMed CJSC, among others. More than 1000 job vacancies and approximately 700 internship opportunities were offered.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Alumni-Career Fair, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov, Acting Rector of ASOIU, highlighted the significance of the traditionally held fairs at the university. He emphasized that such fairs play an important role in expanding relations between enterprises and the university. Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov noted that the fair provides a vital platform for students and graduates to communicate directly with employers. He mentioned that the employment rate of ASOIU graduates is high and informed participants that ASOIU ranks 271st globally and 1st among Azerbaijani universities in terms of employability in the 2024 QS Ranking List. Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov thanked the representatives of state institutions and private companies, guests, and all participants, wishing students and graduates success in their new careers.

Participants of the fair included Sadig Gurbanov, Chairman of the Committee on Natural Resources, Energy, and Ecology of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan; Nijat Asadli, Deputy Chairman of the Science and Higher Education Agency; Elnur Nasibov, Chairman of the Board of the Education Development Fund of the Ministry of Science and Education; Ulvi Abasguliyev, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the State Employment Agency; Rufat Azizov, Rector of Sumgayit State University, and Shaig Bakirov, Vice President of Balakhani Operations Company LTD. They spoke about the importance of the XV Alumni-Career Fair held at ASOIU, noting that there is always a significant demand for ASOIU graduates in industrial enterprises and this demand will continue. These fairs demonstrate the high level of industry-university cooperation, providing graduates with timely employment and successful career opportunities.

After the official segment of the exhibition, attended by officials such as Azar Suleymanov, the Chairman of the Nasimi District Organization of the New Azerbaijan Party; Vugar Rahimzade, the Chairman of the Xetai District Organization; Araz Khudadanov, the Chairman of the Sabunchu District Organization, as well as representatives from government agencies and private companies, there was an artistic performance. Following this, they proceeded to visit the stands set up by companies.

It should be noted that as part of the fair, five separate training sessions were conducted by leading company specialists for the students at the university.
