Priority issues discussed at the ASOIU Academic Board meeting

On May 31, the next meeting of the Academic Board was held at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU). As per tradition, the Acting Rector of ASOIU, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov, announced the items on the agenda to the board members, and the agenda was approved.

According to the agenda, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov provided information about the preparation of the activity plan for the 2024-2025 academic year at ASOIU. Speaking about the tasks to be carried out and the main goals to be achieved in the next academic year to further improve teaching and education, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov stated that for the development of education, the achievement of scientific advancements, the university's progress in international ranking lists, its formation as a research university, and the timely execution of other important issues, everyone must be responsible and fulfill their obligations at a high level.

At the meeting, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Associate Professor Gasim Mammadov, presented a report on the preparation status for the exam session of the spring semester of the 2023-2024 academic year, the preliminary calculated total teaching load for the 2024-2025 academic year, and the planning of the annual teaching load for the faculty.

At the meeting, Professor Latafat Gardashova, ASOIU's Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, presented the annual report of the "Science and Education Analytical Center"; Latifa Nasibova, the Acting Director of UFAZ, presented UFAZ's report; Professor Rauf Aliyarov, Director of the Scientific Research Institute "Geotechnological Problems of Oil, Gas, and Chemistry," presented the institute's report; PhD Elviz Ismayilov, Director of the Digital Development and Innovation Center, presented the centre's annual activity report.

After discussing the items on the agenda with the board members, unanimous decisions were made. Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov expressed his opinions and suggestions on the issues discussed and gave instructions on the tasks to be carried out.
