On July 31, an entrance exam for the bachelor's degree program for the 2024/2025 academic year was held at the Azerbaijani-French University (UFAZ), which operates under the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU).
Acting Rector of ASOIU, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov, Acting Executive Director of UFAZ Latifa Nasibova, and other representatives observed the examination process and familiarized themselves with the conditions created for the applicants. During the examination, a meeting was also held between the rector and the parents of the applicants. Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov wished all the candidates success and stated that UFAZ has always been one of the leading higher education institutions in the country, known for its high-level education. He added that studying at UFAZ and obtaining dual diplomas would open great opportunities for each student.
During the two-and-a-half-hour exam, the applicants answered ten test questions in each subject—mathematics, chemistry, physics, and general knowledge—according to the language of instruction (Azerbaijani or Russian) in general education. They also completed grammar exercises and wrote essays in English.
It is worth noting that starting this year, UFAZ also offers an undergraduate program in Chemistry in addition to Geophysical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, and Oil and Gas Engineering programs.
This year, 466 applicants who scored over 450 points in the centralized entrance exams conducted by the State Examination Center (SEC) for Group I applied online for the UFAZ entrance exam, and 358 of them participated in the exam. The average SEC score of the applicants who participated in the UFAZ entrance exam was 563.9, with 27 of them scoring above 650.
For the 2024/2025 academic year, it is planned that 190 students will study at the bachelor's level at UFAZ in five specialities on a state-funded basis.
The exam results will be announced on August 2.
