The memorandum aims to foster collaboration between the parties in the areas of environmental protection, climate change mitigation, and the reduction of its impacts, within the framework of the "Green World Solidarity Year" and preparations for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
Key areas of cooperation outlined in the memorandum include joint efforts during tree-planting initiatives, collaboration under the “Green World Ambassadors” program for activities such as cleaning industrial waste-contaminated soils, and engaging scientists in academic and practical conferences, as well as other events related to COP29. The agreement also includes mutual support for public interest initiatives, as deemed feasible.
The cooperation will also extend to organizing seminars and training sessions for students participating in the "Green World Ambassadors" program, providing expert lecturers, and involving specialists in the International Summer School, which will include local and foreign students.
