Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) hosted a meeting to discuss the university's admission plan for the upcoming academic year with representatives from state institutions and private companies.
The meeting was attended by ASOIU’s Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Associate Professor Gasim Mammadov, faculty members, deans, and company representatives.
During the meeting, which saw the participation of representatives and heads from over 30 production enterprises, Bahruz Nazarov, Director of ASOIU’s Public Relations and Marketing Department, opened the session by outlining the purpose of the gathering and discussing the university's collaborations with industry partners.
Vice-Rector Gasim Mammadov spoke about expanding university-industry cooperation, noting that ASOIU currently collaborates with over 700 enterprises. He also presented a video on the number of students admitted to ASOIU this year and their chosen specialities. Additionally, he emphasized that from the 2025/2026 academic year onward, employers’ demands and recommendations will be considered when planning admissions.
The discussion format allowed company representatives to share their insights on demand for specific skill sets in the labour market. They expressed their interest in strengthening collaboration with the university and highly appreciated the opportunity to participate in such a meeting regarding ASOIU's admission plan.
