ASOIU Acting Rector holds open dialogue with students

A meeting between the Acting Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov, and students took place on October 19.

The gathering, which included students from various academic years and university staff, began with Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov briefing attendees on the comprehensive educational reforms being implemented nationwide. He specifically highlighted the facilities and opportunities available at ASOIU to enhance the learning experience.

Emphasizing the recent advancements in scientific research at ASOIU and its growing presence in international rankings, the Acting Rector noted that the educational programs have been adapted to meet modern standards. He highlighted that integrating cutting-edge technology into the curriculum, along with instruction from a highly qualified faculty, enables ASOIU to produce top-tier engineers who serve the needs of the state, society, and the nation.

During the meeting, the Acting Rector shared results from a recent student survey on education quality and teaching standards. He emphasized that student wishes and feedback remain a top priority for the university.

The informal setting of the gathering allowed students to directly address their suggestions, concerns, and questions about education, student activities, and university life to Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov.

Thanking the students for their active participation, Acting Rector provided detailed answers to each query. He also instructed relevant deans to promptly address certain issues raised during the discussion.

At the conclusion of the meeting, students expressed their gratitude to Acting Rector Vazeh Asgarov for the candid conversation and the opportunity for open dialogue.
